Every great piece of golf gear deserves a story. This one just happens to be impossible to verify.

Legend has it Tony shot a 69 one Sunday twilight round.

Three under.

Birdie on 18. Four-footer for 69. Ice in his veins.

He buried it.

There were no cameras. No gallery. No playing partners willing to sign an affidavit.

And, conveniently, the scorecard has since “disappeared.”

Nobody believed him then.

Nobody believes him now.

So naturally, we made a shirt.

I LOVE A GOOD 69 on the front.

Part golf score. Part questionable sense of humor. And the closest thing Tony is ever going to have to documented proof.

But that's kind of the point.

Every golfer has that round.

The round where everything suddenly worked. The putts dropped. The driver behaved. The golf gods briefly stopped screwing with you.

And somehow, the people who normally witness every chunk, shank and three-putt weren't there to see any of it.

So you tell the story.

They call bullshit.

You tell it again.

Eventually it becomes legend.

Around here, we think those rounds deserve to be remembered.

Even if the scorecard mysteriously can't be located.
